Welcome to AthleticScholar LLC ("AthleticScholar," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our platform, services, and website (the "Service"). By accessing or using AthleticScholar, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Service.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use AthleticScholar.
- By using our Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
- If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use AthleticScholar.
Account Registration & Management
- Users must create an account to access certain features, including AI-powered messaging and coach discovery.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities under it.
- Sharing account credentials or unauthorized use of another user's account is strictly prohibited.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support immediately.
- If you wish to delete your account, contact support. Deleting an account is permanent and will remove all associated data.
Services Provided
AthleticScholar is dedicated to transforming the college recruitment process for athletes. Our platform allows users to:
- Discover Colleges: Search for colleges tailored to their sport, gender, and state.
- Connect with Coaches: Directly reach out to college coaches to enhance recruitment chances.
- AI-Powered Messaging: Generate personalized, coach-specific messages to make outreach more effective.
- Auto-Send Feature: Automatically send messages to relevant coaches based on user-defined criteria.
AthleticScholar does not guarantee recruitment, scholarships, or responses from coaches. Our platform serves as a tool to streamline communication and increase exposure to college programs.
User Responsibilities & Prohibited Activities
Users agree to use AthleticScholar responsibly and refrain from engaging in prohibited activities, including but not limited to:
- Misuse of AI Messaging: Sending inappropriate, misleading, or deceptive messages.
- Spamming Coaches: Excessive or irrelevant messages that may result in blocked communications.
- Web Scraping & Unauthorized Data Collection: Extracting or copying content, databases, or any portion of the platform without permission.
- Abuse of Platform Features: Using automated scripts, bots, or any mechanism to exploit the system.
AthleticScholar only facilitates messaging between athletes and coaches; we do not control or monitor direct interactions.
Subscriptions & Payments
- AthleticScholar operates on a subscription-based model, offering various plans with different levels of access.
- Users agree to pay all applicable fees associated with their selected plan.
- Payments are processed securely, and billing cycles are outlined at the time of purchase.
- Refunds are issued at AthleticScholar's discretion. Users may contact support to request a refund, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Intellectual Property
- All content on the platform, including AI-generated messages, branding, software, and databases, is the exclusive property of AthleticScholar.
- Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any content for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Unauthorized use of AthleticScholar's intellectual property may result in legal action.
Third-Party Logos and Images
- AthleticScholar may display school names, logos, and images for informational purposes.
- We do not claim ownership of any third-party trademarks, logos, or images used on the platform.
- All intellectual property rights remain with their respective owners, and AthleticScholar provides full credit where applicable.
- Any institution that wishes to have its logo or content removed may contact support, and we will promptly comply with valid requests.
Disclaimers & Liability Limitations
- AthleticScholar does not guarantee college recruitment, athletic scholarships, or positive responses from coaches.
- AI-generated messages are provided as a tool to assist outreach efforts; users are responsible for verifying message accuracy.
- The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AthleticScholar is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of the Service.
Privacy & Data Collection
- AthleticScholar collects and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- We prioritize user privacy and do not sell personal data to third parties.
- By using the platform, users consent to data collection for improving service functionality and user experience.
Dispute Resolution
- All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the state of Colorado.
- By using AthleticScholar, users waive their right to participate in class-action lawsuits.
Changes to These Terms
- AthleticScholar reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
- Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
